Fabien Novarino, French painter, sculptor, visual artist, photographer, born in 1963, began his career in 1990.
He began painting at a very young age, but as a teenager he also became interested in photography. He took his first photographs at the age of 12 and practiced in the black and white laboratory. He participated in numerous exhibitions and amateur competitions.
In the early 80s, while studying literature in Paris, he worked freelance for a press agency, which distributed his images of sports and entertainment. He was hired as a printer in a minute laboratory. Then, he was hired as a studio operator specializing in advertising and industrial photography. His career as a painter took off, he left photography for a while to devote himself to pictorial works inspired by the Provençal hinterland and then urban themes that gave him an international dimension.
In 2010, combining his two passions, painting and photography, his work moved towards a work of painted photo montage which confirmed his status and continues to be collected around the world.
In 2020, in parallel with these creations; he developed a collection composed solely of photographs. This work made of transparencies, overprints and contrasts, evokes the themes that are dear to him: the urban, travel, female characters and the abstract. His images are presented in numerous exhibitions and galleries in France and abroad.
